Legendary Jazz Keyboardist David Benoit To Release "Full Circle" June 27

Following the glorious creative departure of his Peak Records solo recording debut, the classical labor of love Orchestral Works, and the all-star chart topping Christmas CD 40 Years-A Charlie Brown Christmas (which he produced and performed on), David Benoit makes a dramatic return to his smooth jazz roots, coming Full Circle on one of the most honest, liberating and heartfelt recordings of his storied 30 year career.

Full Circle's first radio single is "Beat Street," a bright and bouncy, seductive yet ultimately jamming slice of sweet retro funk that perfectly matches the pop, jazz and R&B sensibilities of Benoit and Jeff Lorber. The six tracks on the CD produced by Jeffrey Weber feature the powerful ensemble of a mix of musicians who have been playing with Benoit on and off for most of the pianist's career: drummer John Robinson, bassists Nathan East and Brian Bromberg, percussionists Luis Conte, Alex Acuna, and guitarists Oscar Castro-Neves, Pat Kelley and Paul Jackson, Jr. In addition, Paul Brown (smooth jazz's top hitmaker, with over 40 #1 radio hits to his credit) adds his Midas touch to Full Circle on tracks such as "Chasing The Tides" and Antonio Carlos Jobim's "Water To Drink (Agua de Beber)".

David Benoit's career as a contemporary jazz pianist began in 1977 and includes 25 solo recordings over the past 29 years. His 1985 radio hit "Linus and Lucy" helped launch the smooth jazz genre, and his early genre recordings, including his GRP Records debut Freedom at Midnight and its Grammy nominated 1988 follow-up Every Step of the Way, are considered influential classics.

David Benoit will be touring nationally throughout the summer. You can access further information by logging on to www.Benoit.com or www.PeakRecords.com.
