Pat Metheny/Brad Mehldau at Carnegie Hall April 11

Two of the world's most lauded musicians, guitarist Pat Metheny and pianist Brad Mehldau, who recently teamed up to record what has been regarded as a landmark collaboration, simply titled Metheny / Mehldau, are now embarking on what is sure to be one of the most anticipated tours of 2007. Drummer Jeff Ballard and bassist Larry Grenadier, who performed on the record, will be joining Pat and Brad on the road as well. The music will come from the first recording and will feature music from the new forthcoming CD, Metheny Mehldau Quartet, (out March 20 on Nonesuch) which features mostly quartet music from the original recording session.

This tour offers fans the chance to see these phenomenal musicians in concert together - for the first time, performing music that the Philadelphia Inquirer calls, “a triumph in risk taking.”
