Boney James Kicks Off Tour to Support New Album

Send One Your Love, the new CD from sax icon Boney James, which was released on February 3rd, has claimed the top spot on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart for the fifth week in a row with no slowdown in sight.

Showing James’s crossover appeal, the record also debuted at #21 on the Billboard R&B Chart and entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #76. The album is being powered by two current singles, “Stop, Look, Listen” and “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight.”

Send One Your Love is the bestselling, Grammy nominated saxophonist’s 12th album. It features a collection of romantic and sensuous songs by Stevie Wonder, The Stylistics, Barry White, John Klemmer and a stunning cover of James Taylor’s “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight.”

Regarding Send One Your Love, Boney says, “I wanted this to be an album, not just a collection of songs. I wanted to tell a romantic story from the beginning to the end.”

Boney James will be out on the road supporting his new album throughout 2009. According to Boney, “The communal experience of playing live - that’s why I became a musician in the first place. It’s exciting and liberating. It never gets old for me.”
