Herb Alpert & Lani Hall Sign To Concord

Herb Alpert and his wife Lani Hall have signed to Concord Jazz. Their first release for the label will be Anything Goes, due May 26th. The collection finds the trumpeter and the former Brasil 66 singer performing a series of standards.

The couple will launch a promotional tour for the set in April. Upcoming dates include:
April 16 - Newport News, VA - Ferguson Center for the Arts
April 17 - Philadelphia, PA - Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts
April 18 - Annapolis, MD - Rams Head On Stage
April 19 - Tarrytown, NY - Tarrytown Music Hall
April 21 - New York, NY - Rose Hall
April 22 - Boston, MA - Berklee Performing Center
April 23 - Troy, NY - TSB Music Hall

Alpert has sold more than 72 million albums worldwide as a musician and bandleader of the Tijuana Brass. In addition to earning seven Grammy Awards, Alpert founded the former A&M Records with partner Jerry Moss in 1962, amassing hits for the Carpenters, the Police, Janet Jackson, and others.

Hall, who has been married to Alpert for more than 30 years, began her career as lead singer with Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66, then in 1972 launched her own string of solo albums in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
