Najee Makes Guest Appearance on New U-Nam Album

Smooth jazz artist Najee is teaming up with French guitarist U-Nam on a new track, titled “Soul Boy Reincarnation.” The song appears on U-Nam’s forthcoming album, Unanimity, which is scheduled to be released on April 28th. Najee plays flute and sax on the track.

The album is the follow up to U-Nam’s 2007 album Back To The 80s, which featured his hit single Street Life.

With two platinum and four gold albums, Najee is one of the pioneers of smooth jazz. A combination of jazz improvisation and R&B, this genre forms a bridge from the jazz fusion of the late 70s to the jazz pop of the mid 80s.

Najee has been the recipient of many music awards and over the years he has worked with many great artists such as Quincy Jones, Patti LaBelle, George Duke, Lionel Richie and Jonathon Butler. He even performed on tour with Prince.

Born and raised in Paris, France, U-Nam began playing guitar at the age of 12. By the age of 19 he turned professional, becoming a fixture at Paris studio sessions. He released his first album at the age of 24 and for the past ten years, while focusing on his solo career, he has also devoted himself to songwriting, production and remixes working for a list of artists.
