Steve Oliver Performing On USS Ronald Reagan Tiger Cruise

Smooth jazz guitarist and vocalist Steve Oliver has been offered a special performing engagement, one that he proudly accepted. Oliver was asked to perform on the famous Tiger Cruise on the USS Ronald Reagan Navy aircraft carrier. Oliver will be the only entertainment, performing for more than 7,000 people, including Navy officers, crew and their families. A tiger cruise is one where relatives and friends of crewmembers get a first-hand look at what goes on a Navy ship, and is held every year on the USS Ronald Reagan.

“This is an amazing accomplishment,” says Gisela Oliver, Steve’s wife and manager, who will join him on the cruise. “We will takes lots of pictures.” Steve and Oliver recently returned from a trip to Germany and England. “All the shows went well and we made more fans,” says Gisela.

Oliver released his first solo album, First View, in 1999, with the hit “West End.” His second album, Positive Energy, featured the Top 5 smooth jazz hit “High Noon,” while 3D featured the hits “Chips and Salsa” and “Oh Yeah” and Radiant offered “Tradewinds.” Steve’s latest project, a two-disc DVD/CD titled One Night Live, was filmed during a show in Modesto, Calif.

Oliver is currently working on the new studio album set for release in spring 2010.
