Guitarist Jay Soto Mesmerizes With New Album

On April 29th, Jay Soto released his third album, Mesmerized, which is currently helping him climb the smooth jazz charts with the single release of “Groovalicious.”

Many fans may remember the phenomenal success of his first album, Stay Awhile.

In an unpredictable fury, the single “Slammin’” would quickly gain the attention of music reviewers and eventually rose to # 2 on the charts.

The second single and title track, “Stay Awhile” became a Top 10, giving Soto two hit singles. Smooth and Soul would declare Soto as a “master of the guitar” and would rave, “He is definitely one of today’s top notch guitarists.”

A Jazz Lynx review declared the album was “destined to be among a few elite projects.”

Soto has been composing music since he was 8 years old, when he began writing piano compositions for his piano teacher. Admittedly, he occasionally skimmed over his weekly piano practice material as he anxiously composed his next piece.

Many years later, he got his first couple of cuts on the hit show, Sex And The City, as well as a featured song on the teen show, All About Us. He’s a favorite on the Weather Channel and with two major hits on Smooth Jazz radio he can say he’s had a good taste of publishing in the music business.
