"We will never again take for granted our freedom to travel and play music."
- Michael Silverman

For Immediate Release – St. Louis pianist Michael Silverman has teamed up with Grammy-winning saxophonist Eric Marienthal. Now they’re heading back on the road and have just recorded music inspired by one of their favorite cities. Their new single, “Clearwater,” is out now on streaming services via Autumn Hill Records.

“After the year we went through, it is the greatest joy to be back on the road and back on stage performing for real live human beings," says Silverman. After performing with Marienthal at the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Annual Festival, it was so magical that they named their latest single after the city on the Florida coastline. And it's easy to hear the joy in the melody and groove of this new tune. The track also features Michael's brother, Rob Silverman, one of the most streamed drummers in the world, celebrated bassist John Patitucci and percussionist Casey Adams.

"Clearwater" is the second single from Silverman and Marienthal's upcoming spring release In These Times, featuring bassists Jimmy Haslip, Larry Kornfeld and John Patitucci and drummer Rob Silverman, with additional keyboards and production by James Lloyd from Pieces of a Dream.

Michael Silverman was raised in University City, an inner-ring suburb of the city of St. Louis. Known locally as U City, the neighborhood has produced many internationally known musicians.

While you may have never heard his name, you’ve almost certainly heard his music. Silverman is one of the most streamed and downloaded instrumentalists in the world, with over six billion streams on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon. His classical recordings can be heard in hundreds of televisions during film productions, including “The Good Wife,” “Two and a Half Men” and “American Horror Story.”

He and his brother Rob have built an empire in the instrumental music world since they founded Autumn Hill Records in 2007, streaming over three million tracks daily in a variety of styles, ranging from classical to new age to world music. With 14 number one albums on iTunes in the US, and countless others on charts around the world, Autumn Hill Records has become a leader in instrumental music.
