He was known as one of the top soneros (improviser) in salsa, and was admired and influenced by many of the top salsa artists who came after him. His untimely murder in New York at the age of 41 was tragic and a great talent was lost too early. Standout tracks from Alive and Kicking include “Así Son Bongó,” “San Agustín” and “Adivínalo.”   Héctor Lavoe Reventó (Remastered 2024) (Craft Recordings / Concord) CLICK HERE TO STREAM/DOWNLOAD   Focus Track: “De Que Tamaño Es Tu Amor”   Reventó is iconic salsa singer Hector Lavoe’s eighth solo album released on Fania Records.
