Ever the optimist, dee Brown (https://www.deebrownmusic.com) turned to his faith and picked up his guitar in the wake of his mother’s passing and began writing upbeat jazzy grooves with GRAMMY nominated producer Valdez Brantley for “Deep Secrets,” Brown’s fifth album that went No. 1 on the Amazon Hot New Releases chart shortly after its release last month. Although it’s the Detroit native’s second consecutive album inspired by the loss of a loved one – his previous collection “Remembering You” was a set about his late fiancée – “Deep Secrets” is proving to be a winner. A handful of singles already hit the Billboard chart and the reviews have been as unanimously praiseworthy as the disc’s majestic version of the gospel standard “Praise Is What I Do.”
