The superstar Verve recording artist and her husband, Elvis Costello, have announced that they are expecting their first child in December, which coincides with the third anniversary of their marriage, according to a story by John Mackie in the Vancouver Sun (6/27). "They're really happy about it," said the couple's Vancouver-based manager Steve Macklam. "That's about all I can tell you."
Krall recently finished recording a new album and will continue to tour this summer. The new album, From This Moment On, was produced by Krall and Tommy LiPuma and features jazz standards such as the title track, "Little Girl Blue," "Isn't It a Lovely Day," "It Could Happen to You" and "How Insensitive." The project is slated for release Sept. 19.
"It's sort of a combination of the Clayton-Hamilton jazz orchestra and quartet stuff," said Macklam. "It's gorgeous -- really a beautiful, beautiful record."
