Down To The Bone Is Back To The "Future Boogie"

British-bred band Down To The Bone is back with the new single "Future Boogie." The tune is from their Shanachie release of the same name, due April 21st. "It's an upbeat mix of funk and soul with a feelgood vibe retaining the DTTB sound played by fantastic musicians who love what they do and understand the groove," writers producer Stuart Wade on the DTTB website. "This shows across eclectic mix of tracks featured on the album from straight ahead funk to summer time soul."

Future Boogie features appearances by jazz/soul legend Roy Ayers and Hil St. Soul.

Future Boogie is the group's first release for Shanachie and their ninth overall. Their previous collectionwas 2007's Supercharged, which also featured guest appearances by Roy Ayers and Hil St. Soul.

Wade has worked with Hil St. Soul vocalist Hilary Mwelwa several times in the past. He explained: "I knew of her, most of the guys in the band have worked with her at one time or another. So we got together and it worked perfectly. I mean Hilary, she's a great vocalist and she's very easy to work with. That was one of the reasons I was slightly daunted, because I was thinking, oh, am I going to get on with this singer? Are they going to like the music? And is their song going to fit the track? And luckily it worked."

Currently, the group has one confirmed U.S. appearance, at the Long Beach Jazz Festival, August 9th in Long Beach, California.
