Guitarist and producer Paul Brown was inspired to name his third solo album White Sand after seeing the artwork of another guitarist. The album is being released next Tuesday, February 27th, by Peak Records.
Painter Andrea Razautti, also a guitarist and composer, asked Brown to produce music for him and when they met, Brown was blown away by his artwork. Inspired by the visual, Brown wrote the title track. Razautti in turn created an original piece that Brown used for the cover of White Sand. A reproduction of the original painting will be included in the final CD package. Brown explained: "It's a beautiful painting. And then it just set up the album so nicely, just this warm inviting white sand beach, and the music just really is right there with it."
Brown will celebrate his album release with a live show Thursday, March 1st, at the Vault 350 in Long Beach, California.
