Multi-platinum award-winning smooth jazz artist Brian McKnight is teaming with Litton Entertainment to launch “The Brian McKnight Show,” an hour-long weekly syndicated variety series for fall 2009.
“The Brian McKnight Show” will feature live performances from comedians, musicians and entertainers.
“Brian McKnight’s vision for this show fits the tone of a nation that wants to be entertained and uplifted,” Dave Morgan, executive producer of the series and president/CEO of Litton Entertainment, said in a statement.
“He’s a magnet for huge stars, his natural television personality is combined with the skill to shoulder a hit show, and he’s got talent to spare. We think television needs a fresh, hip face predisposed to succeed with millions and millions and millions of built-in fans. … That’s Brian McKnight.”
McKnight recently released a collection of holiday songs titled “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” which marked his 11th album release. The album is available in stores, via iTunes and other retailers and is available through his website.
The 12-track disc includes McKnight’s take on holiday classics and features collaborations with Vince Gill, Josh Groban Take 6 and Noel Schajris.
McKnight also plans to release his next CD of original music in February 2009. To date Brian McKnight has released 11 albums, 7 of them have gone platinum, with several going 2 and 3 times platinum, and he has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.
